Enter "TM" or "BRK.B" in symbol column and get unexpected result

1) When "TM" is entered in the symbol column it changes to the small "tm" symbol for trademark and the data for Toyota Motors is not displayed. I checked my System Preferences/Keyboard/Text and there is no entry to make the change automatically (there are no entries).

2) When "BRK.B" is entered in the symbol column the entry is allowed, but the symbol is apparently not recognized and no data for Berkshire Hathaway Inc COM CL B appears.

The STOCK function gets its data from Yahoo! Finance and uses the symbols that are value in Yahoo! Finance. For Berkshire Hathaway B the symbol used in Yahoo! Finance is BRK-B.

Try using BRK-B instead of BRK.B.
