Friend’s shared activity is not showing

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. We understand you are unable to see your friend's activity on your Apple Watch and we'd like to help.

Make sure you have followed all of the steps in: Share your Activity and compete with friends with your Apple Watch - Apple Support

If so, we suggest trying to remove one friend, and then invite them back to see if that resolves the issue.

"Remove a friend

1. Open the Fitness app on your iPhone. 
2. Tap the Sharing tab, then tap your friend. 
3. Tap Remove Friend. After you remove a friend, they can't see your activity, and you can't see their activity. To start sharing again, send your friend a new invite."

This happens to me all the time. The only thing that works is removing and adding my friends back. This doesn’t happen with all friends. Some friends activity shows correctly while others show 0. iPhones and watches are all up to date, even with friends that show 0. Disappointed that removing and adding my friends back wipes out their history. Why is this happening so often?
