I’ll assume that your work email is MS Exchange. Before you do this, note that adding an Exchange account to your phone usually requires installing a security profile on your phone that is provided by your employer, and that it gives your company’s IT department control over many security features of your phone, which might include requiring complex passwords, requiring the password be changed periodically, setting shorter auto-lock settings, granting them the ability to remotely erase your phone, and many other features to protect the company’s trade secrets. It also means that all content on your phone is owned by your employer, including your personal contacts. If you still want to proceed:

  • Go to Settings/Mail/Accounts
  • Tap Add Account
  • Tap Microsoft Exchange
  • READ the warning that appears
  • Enter your company email address and the other information requested

If the company does not have an Exchange Server (unlikely, but possible), instead of tapping Microsoft Exchange tap Outlook.com in the above instructions
