The Satechi USB-C Multiport adapters are compatible with the 2020/2021 models of iPad Pro, the iPad Air4 and iPad mini6 - all of which feature a USB-C port.
Here’s the full list of compatible iPad models:
You’ll not be able to use this Satechi adapter with other models of iPad that have a Lightning port - such as the the first and second generation iPad Pro 12.9.

To my knowledge, this hub doesn't work with iPad Pros 2021 using M1 chips (11" or 12.9"), as per this Satechi page (also at the section "Tech Specs":--> https://satechi.net/products/aluminum-type-c-mobile-pro-hub?variant=15357088170072
If you have different information, please let me know. Thanks

Just to clarify:
The OP, in his original question, did not specify his/her correct device model, just saying iPad Pro 12.9".
In my answer, I took care to point out that this product is NOT compatible with iPad Pro 12.9" 5th gen.
In your answer you stated: "The Satechi USB-C Multiport adapters are compatible with the 2020/2021 models of iPad Pro, the iPad Air4 and iPad mini6 - all of which feature a USB-C port".
I think that's not true, not for iPad Pros 2021 (12.9" or 11") with M1 chips, as stated by Satechi in their website too.
In fact, the list that you correctly copied/pasted from Apple "Compatibility" section, related to that accessory, does not contain iPad Pro 12.9" 5th gen, nor iPad Pro 11" 3rd gen.
I hope you grasp the meaning of my correction.
Take care.
Giulio
Well, if you think so, I should ask Apple why they are not listing "2021 iPad Pros with M1 chips" in their page, section "Compatibility".
BTW, even in this Satechi page (section "Tech Specs") those models are not listed:--> https://satechi.net/products/slim-aluminum-type-c-multi-port-adapter-v2?variant=12604200812632, and I wasn't able to find them in any other Satechi multiport adapter, unless Satechi is producing a multiport specific model for Apple only.
Or, as you think, Apple and/or Satechi need to update their pages :)
Giulio
Given that that Satechi hub works with iPad Pro 12.9" 3rd or 4th generation (not with 5th generation), for what purpose did you buy it? I mean, what kind of connection are you trying to use? What happens when you try?
Regards
Giulio
I presume the OP may refer to this hub… this being fully compatible with USB-C equipped models of iPad:
Indeed I do grasp what you’re attempting to say.
The title of the OPs post most closely matches my interpretation of the hub in question - namely “USB-C Multiport Pro Adapter”.
This is not the hub that you have yourself suggested - acknowledging that the item in your reply is indeed unsuitable.
Satechi do indeed produce a multiport USB-C hub exclusively for Apple (this being the item to which I have explicitly linked) - and an almost identical version, marketed more widely, that features a second USB Type-A port.
Okay, so you think it's only Apple that needs to add the two iPad models to its compatibility list.
The usual problem is that the OP, as often happens, did not respond to my requests made in the first response I gave to this thread. We only know that that product is not working, but we are not told what exact model of iPad the OP is connecting it to, or what exactly is not working.
Giulio
When (if) the OP responds with additional information, we’ll both be somewhat wiser - but on the basis of what has been disclosed this far, such as the product name as given in the title of this thread, I strongly suspect that I’m closer to the mark at this juncture.
As for Apple’s online information concerning accessories, this is frequently inaccurate for in-life third party products following introduction of new iPad models.
