LG Ultrafine 4k monitor

I just bought a new LG Ultrafine 4k monitor for my MacBook. Yesterday was working fine. Today, when I try to use my display again, it just shows black screen, it does charge my Macbook but doesn´t show anything on display anymore. I tried to connect my laptop to another display in the office (exact same model) and it does work and connect automatically when cable is plugged in. I even tried with the second monitor cable, restrated the computer etc etc nothing is helping.

Please can someone help me with this problem?

A problem that follows one display and does not occur on an identical display is a sample defect or failure in that one sample.

to get a Mac display to become active, you need the Mac to query the display, and the display to answer with its name and capabilities. Otherwise, the display will not be shown as present, and no data will be sent to the display. "No signal detected" is generated by the DISPLAY, not by the Mac.

This query is only sent at certain times:

• at startup

• at wake from sleep — so momentarily sleeping and waking your Mac may work

• at insertion of the Mac-end of the display-cable, provided everything on that cable is ready-to-go

• on invoking Option-(Detect Display) button in Displays preferences (from another display)

so try doing some of those things and see if the display comes alive.

If using a recent version of MacOS on an M1 Mac, be sure you have the latest updates installed.

There have been reports of difficult operating multiple Thunderbolt functions simultaneously on these Macs, and Apple is though to be still working on fixes.

Is this connecting via USB-C, or USB-C to HDMI, or HDMI directly?

Tried all the above. None of them worked. I already installed the LG on screen App and says there's no monitor connected. As we bought two monitors in the office i was able to try with another exact same model monitor and it works. Everything works with the second monitor so I'm wondering if it worked for one day and stop working through the night?

USB-C thunderbolt directly to the macbook pro port. (tried all the 4 ports) And I'm using the original cable provided by LG. IT has one day use.

Not sure what a M1 Mac means. I'm on a Macbook Pro 15inch 2018. running Monterey 12.0.1. I do have a pending update so i'm working on that as I type. Lets see....
