Hi. I don't know exactly what is the problem. When I take a photo on an iPhone it looks normal but as soon as I send it to another iPhone or upload it on social media the yellow color changes dramatically. As if someone changed the saturation of yellow.

Tried to search related questions on the internet but it says the problem is with the display and the Night Shift

Hi there _mr_max_,

We like to share our own photos on social media, along with sending them through Messages. Let's team up to help look into what's happening when you do the same:

  1. You mentioned that the photos appear more yellow when doing this, but when did it first start?
  2. If you use another device to view the same photos on social media, or even ask the people you've sent photos through Messages, does the same issue appear?
  3. If it only appears more yellow on just your own iPhone, have you already tried any steps on your own, like testing for the same issue with Night Shift disabled?
  4. As you have a compatible model, the latest version is iOS 15.3. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. Here's a link that'll show how to first back up, then Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

Cheers!

Okay, so I tried everything and here are my observations:

I sent the image with Airdrop to another iPhone and the photo looked less yellow but then I sent this "less yellow" image back to my phone and it retained the original colors

The next thing i did is trying almost every single messenger. Here I noticed that sending the photo through Telegram doesn't affect image quality, but in WhatsApp, Instagram, etc.. it does.

Maybe it's image compression algorithm or something like that?

Because Telegram is known for keeping the photos at the same size and not compressing it unlike others.

Hello Hi there _mr_max_,

Restoring your iPhone would put a new copy of the iOS system on it, along with not causing this specific issue to occur.

As this occurs with a photo you sent to another device, let's focus on your iPhone:

  1. You mentioned that this occurs when you send it through Messages, or post it on different social media. Do the photos have the same issue when viewing them directly in the Photos app?
  2. As it was unclear, did you try disabling Night Shift on both iPhone models you tested?

Take care!

1. I noticed this 2-3 days ago when I posted a picture on social media. It looked significantly less yellow than the photo on my gallery

2. I tried sending the photo with Airdrop to another iPhone and the issue remained. Same goes for Messages and social media

3. I don't think it is a problem with Night Shift because all my old photos look normal, and don't have problems with color reproduction

4. Updated the phone to iOS 15.3 but everything remains the same

Less than a year ago my IPhone got a memory overload, and only displayed the Apple logo so in order to make it work again I put it to DFU mode. Because of that I lost all the memory. Maybe it somehow damaged my phone and now this issue appears?
