How can I get my watch to show when I receive a text or call. It use to display but now it does not unless I hit one of the buttons

Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to bring up Control Center. Check to see if Theater Mode is on. It is the icon with the two masks on it. If it is orange, it is on. Tap it again to turn it off.
