application memory error

I keep getting an application memory error but I have lots of space. Is this a software issue with Monterey?

When this happens if you go to Activity Monitor and the Memory tab, what processes are using a lot of memory.

What is also listed in the bottom part of the window with regard to:

1. Physical memory

2 Memory used

Cached memory

Swap used

App memory

wired memory

Compressed.

I’ve done that. Nothing is using a lot of memory. I have cleaned out the Mac, deleted duplicate files, run malware, etc. I have run a diagnostic. I have gone through all the steps a dozen times. I read that Monterey has a memory leak on some programs. If I have Mail and Chrome or Safari open at the same time, I can’t type more than 3 words before mail crashes and the error message appears, making the computer inoperable. Wondering if anyone else is having this problem.
