Apple watch series 7 does not update although connected to charger and has 100% battery

I cannot update my apple watch, it is connected to power and has already 100% battery but when I press „install“ on watch app on my phone, it says that it has to be connected to power and has to have atleast 50% battery charged. My phone and watch are both connected to the same wifi. Phone has the latest software, I restarted both devices twice. I tried updating the watch from the watch not from the phone but didn’t work either. Don’t know what to do. Please help.

Update from the watch itself.

Place the watch on the charger.

Make sure that your watch is connected to wifi.

On your watch, open the Settings app.

Tap General > Software Update.

Tap Install if a software update is available, then follow the onscreen instructions.

Does not update from the watch either. Same message on phone as on iPhone: 50% charged & connected to Wifi. Fully charged and connected to my home Wifi, but does not start to update.

Updated succesfully after shutting down and restarting the watch.
