Hello Itsonlyoneme,

We see you're having issues getting photos displayed in Messages, and we'd like to help.

Are you using Messages in iCloud? You can check for that in Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Messages. Also, are the photos missing in all conversations, or just a particular one?

If you're using Messages in iCloud, check to see if the main list of conversations in Messages has a progress bar at the bottom. If it does, be sure to leave the device connected to Wi-Fi and connected to power to help it complete.

It may also help to try a quick restart of the device.
