Changed apple id from old email and lost contacts
Unlike some Android devices, contacts are neither stored locally on an iPhone nor in SIM. They are synced to an email account that you had Google, iCloud, AOL, Exchange, Outlook, Yahoo or any Other
If Contacts on iCloud, try this --> Restore contacts, calendars, bookmarks, and more using ...
Else add the email account that stores your contacts.

gmail has a contact feature. From your computer log in to mail.google.com and click on the Contacts icon near the right edge of the page to view your gmail contacts.
When you add a gmail account and turn on the switch for contacts to your phone the gmail contacts will sync to the phone’s Contacts app.
It's good to begin to understand this. Many thx
How can phone numbers be synced in gmail? It does not make sense... If you say they are synced in Google Drive then we can search in Google Drive as well. I am also new to this stuff too.
Thanks
