Solution to "filter failed" issue with Epson printers and Big Sur

I have wireless printing for my printers, just to give you a baseline. I also have a MacBook Pro, and am using Big Sur 11.6.2.

I had restarted, re-uploaded, re-everything-ed when I first discovered this was an issue, only to find that the problem was still occurring. Then I noticed that one of my Epson printers that WAS working had an IP next to the printer driver name. I installed that version for my WF 7620, and it's working again. So, try looking for an IP version of the printer driver you want to use for Epson, and see if that helps. It certainly is easier to do than all the convoluted solutions I've been reading (that did not work for me).
