iPhone gets virus when visiting a malicious page?

Hello,

First of all sorry for my bad English.

I am aware that iPhones are difficult to hack and get malware, viruses, etc. About my situation. I was looking for an old Russian series that I couldn't find anywhere else. So searched Google for sites about it. Went to one where the entire page was full of popups and took me to other pages. Did not click on anything but was just present. Can there be something downloaded in the background without you noticing something like that? I deleted the website data afterwards.

Thanks :)

iPhone 13

No, as long as your phone is not jailbroken it can’t be infected by visiting a web page. However, if popups persist after you leave the pages where they came from you may have to clear history and website data to get rid of them.
