My ipad pro won't let me edit text - I tap and nothing happends

What am i doing wrong- I have imovie app open and text on the clip- but when I tap- it doesnt allow me to edit. nothing happens.

Text with effects Why can’t I send texts with 'effects’ on my iPad Pro?? I can choose an effect, but the keyboard won’t disappear so I can tap the send arrow.

Difficulty editing a message in messages. I can edit text easily in Pages, Notes, etc. but when I attempt to Edit a message the cursor moves to the wrong line or the text is highlighted and I can't undo that , etc. Seems to have occurred with iOS Version 12. It's really bad now in iOS 15. It happens on my iPhone 8 and my partner's newer iPhone SE (2nd Generation). Any suggestions?

Hi Rchemel!

It sounds like you’re unable to edit text in iMovie, and we’re happy to help. The related article above gives the best instructions for editing this text. Have you tried restarting your iPad? Is the iPad software up to date?
