Monterey Install
Tried to install Monterey and now our iMac is “stuck”. Black screen with the Apple logo says “less than a minute remaining” and that minute has lasted for 1 hour and 14 minutes. Help!

Please be patient and wait until the morning, if it is still at one minute when you get up (I'm assuming it is late where you are) then shut it down in the morning. Then unplug it for about 30 minutes, plug it back in and hold down the power button for about 15 seconds.

Be patient? That is not helpful especially now that the “less than one minute” has lasted for over two hours (and counting). I also now have a very loud fan noise; clearly this is not an issue of being patient.
Let it finish and do not be impatient.
