This kept happening to me after a recent trip to Hawaii, I tried all the above and it didn’t resolve my issue either.

My issue resolved when I went to my settings scrolled down to phone and turned on my dial assist.

When I turned it on it noted that it automatically detects the country code needed when placing calls.

I’ve tried several FaceTime calls since and it is no longer happening.

Hopefully this is it because that was so annoying. I will update if the problem reoccurs but so far all is good.

Hope this helps.

Hi tcmouse,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. We understand you're the number "52" when attempting to FaceTime. We're happy to look into this with you.

We want to get a bit more information to make sure we fully understand what's happening. Would you mind answer the following:

Are you seeing this come up as an error when attempting to FaceTime, or in place of the contact details?

Does this happen with every FaceTime, or only with some contacts?

Are you able to answer incoming FaceTime calls?

Thanks
