how to delete all photos en masse from iPhone 13pmax

Hi,

having trouble deleting all the images on my iPhone after using Image Capture app to copy files to my Mac.

It used to work fine using iPhone 11, now with iPhone 13PMax images don't delete. really annoying as I'm not going to sit there and delete one by one.

Is there some way of deleting images en masse from the iPhone quickly and without too much fuss

I have recently upgraded to OS12.2. and iOS15.3 thinking that might help. but I think it is worse now image capture won't even connect to the iPhone and says

thanks

No I haven’t spoken to support. I tried again changing the lightning cord to one with a USB A plug and that fixed the problem with the mac not seeing the iphone. Then i just selected only approx 120 images at a time in Image Capture to delete and that did the trick.
