I cannot click on my name in settings it is in gray and unable to be clicked on

I am trying to update my iPhone and I am unable to press on my name in the settings menu so how am I supposed to update my phone and what do you suppose the problem is?

iPhone 12, iOS 15

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities! We understand you're unable to tap on your name under Settings on your iPhone because it's greyed out. We can help.


Likely this indicates you have a restriction enabled. Head over to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions. If that's enabled, either turn it off or scroll down to the 'Allow Changes' section and make sure Account Changes are set to Allow.


Use parental controls on your child's iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
