I can't pay with my phone anymore (XR), I've updated to iOS 15.3 (another story for a different thread) removed and reinstated the card and signed out of and back into my Apple account.
This happens with all the cards on my phone from different banks. I can't think of anything else to do, does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Ok, so if it is an iPhone Apple Pay error, try removing the cards that aren't working, restart your iPhone (and make sure it is running the latest iOS which is 15.3), and then adding them again to Wallet.

After upgrading my XS to 15.4, apple pay works again. I have been to the apple store and they have checked my phone and the hardware is fine. They let me try including removing the configuration, re-adding the card, didn't fix the problem.

I encountered this problem with my iPhone XS in ios13. I tried the methods I could find on the Internet, including deleting the bank card and clearing the settings, but nothing solved the problem. After upgrading to ios14, apple pay is available again. Now after upgrading to ios15.3.1 this problem reappears, so I think it may be solved after the next version update.
I had the same problem with the XR. Upgraded to a 13 mini because I thought my XR had finally given up.
But the problem remains even with the completely new phone…
I tried changing the region without any luck….
Thanks howardwo, it is a pain, I'm on 15.3.1 but still have a problem, having to carry my card around with me seems prehistoric now like taking 2steps backwards. Do you think Apple are aware of this problem? No shops near me so I can't ask them and I've done everything that's been suggested. Very frustrated.
Thanks Owen_1001, I had a look at the link but it seems to be about sending and receiving cash. The problem I have is paying with my phone rather than using the card.
Thanks Owen I've tried all that and did a hard reset, but still have a problem. Now I've updated to iOS 15.3.1 but still won't work
