Using my iPad drains the battery on my iPhone,,,why?
I don’t understand why using my iPad drains the battery on my 6s iPhone. Is there any way to avoid this?

You certainly had the opportunity to choose to use your iPhone in a Handoff mode to your iPad. Perhaps, for example, you have set up Text Message Forwarding.
Check Settings > Battery on your iPhone to learn what applications are using the battery the most.
