Slow charging

I got 20w USB-C adapter with cable delivered from Apple India store online dated on 5th Feb this year for my iPhone X but it’s very surprising that performance is the same as I had got from Apple 5w adapter(original cable) of 20 % in 30 minutes! Now just I am repentant for the waste of my money! As it is under warranty,I think if the problem comes from my phone which is not under warranty! If I visit any Apple ASC just to inspect if the problem comes from my phone,they will charge very high inspection charge which I hesitate to invest for an old phone (2017)…!

Did you using the charger and cable on another iphone that supports fast charging?


Maybe you want to force restart your iphone and see if that helps:


Force restart an iPhone with Face ID

To force restart iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 12, or iPhone 13, do the following:

Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the side button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.

Hi sorry to know about your frustration. We are community member only here to help our fellow members.


Do try the charger on another phone or use the usb lightning connector on the laptop and see if it works fine.


also make sure you have the latest ios 15.3 installed. This will solve many problems.

Sir,firstly a great gratitude to you for you have shared your valuable time selflessly.Apple world is highly crude professional.They know only money.So there the word “selfless” is highly objectionable.They exploit people’s hard earned money out of crage and love.

1) Sorry sir,I yet not tried it to another phone.It’s very good advice.I will try the other day.

2) My face ID not working for a year and in past I frequently tried to restart as well but didn’t not work.

3) But alternatively I had gone through reset as following : Accessibility > touch> assistive touch > restart and hence restart works but all in vain …. Problem exists!

1) I will try on another compatible phone.

2) I can’t connect to Windows PC as there’s port other than type -c.

3)Already 15.3 installed.

4) I had a long message chat and telephonic conversation with Apple support two times on 6th & 7th Feb and they were very supportive,made a case ID and they made an appointment for me to an Apple ASC tomorrow.
