Onscreen keyboard placement
What’s up with the onscreen keyboard of my iPad Pro lately? It started weeks ago acting up such that I couldn’t see behind it my lines of type. I couldn’t drag the field high enough to clear the top of the keyboard. Then the keyboard changed position apparently on its own to mid-page. Today it’s moved to the top of the screen, whereas on all my iPads since 2011 the keyboard was always at the bottom and never obscured the field I was typing into. Until recently that’s how this one worked.
I have no idea what changed. It even made it hard to log in here because the keyboard blocked the password entry window and it’s submit button! I had to assume my spelling was correct as entered, then press the keyboard symbol on the lower right of the keyboard to collapse it so I could check the log in and press the submit. It’s been real annoying when I can’t watch and review what I’m typing as I type.
I can’t see an adjustment to get the keyboard back to the bottom of the screen where it belongs. Right now the typing field just happens to be near the bottom of the screen so I can follow my typing lines, but they should be reversed, and the line of type always visible above the keyboard.
