Labels have appeared under the apps on my iPhone 7. This was after updating to iOS 15.3
If I can't have my phone exactly as I would like it to be then I won't be upgrading to the new iPhone.
I need to get a phone which does not dictate to me.
Surely I should have the option to remove the labels without jumping through hoops.

Did you try Settings>Accessibility>Display and Text Size>Classic Invert>Off?
Sent my message before I was finished. I meant the labels were white previously. There are white on my wife’s iPhone. But are now black on mine after the update. I would prefer the apps without labels but would settle for white text.
The names of the apps have appeared under the app icons for as long as I can remember, so I’m not sure what you are talking about. If you want the ability to remove the app names, let Apple know how you feel.
