Basic attestation CA1 certificate untrusted

I have the same question as the previous poster. I saw this certificate (MBPro) in my Login keys and it's marked in red as untrusted. It was not there the day before because I spent several minutes browsing through all of my various certificates in all of the sections and categories. And there was nothingon in red? Therefore, I am concerned. I deleted it. How does a certificate like that just pop-up suddenly? And why is it untrusted? Is it malicious? And will deleting it affect my logging in? I read the information that was attached but it didn't help me understand it's purpose nor did it address the trust warning. Thank you.

Hi aiCa_n18,

Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities about certificates you are monitoring on your MacBook Pro using Keychain. It’s always good to stay on top of things, and we’d like to see how we can help.

We don’t want to provide any misinformation about whether it was unsafe since the certificate has been deleted. There are no details to view.

Should you see another one, click on to it and open it up so the details can be viewed.  It should reveal where the certificate originated from.

Reach back out if you need us further.

Have a great day!
