How to remove Enable Face ID for apps - Using password and security - Apps using apple id

Set up new iphone 12 with latest ios. Previously had iphone 8, and would login to apps with fingerprint and not password/passcode or face id. After installing apps I wanted to login but forgot my password as I said I used fingerprint so when I request a password reset I entered my email address and nothing was emailed to allow a password reset. I have two options sign in with email or sign in with apple id, however that app is no longer in apps using apple id as I clicked on stop using apple id. I also deleted and installed again. Any help is greatly appreciated as this is a coffee app

If you are referring to a 3rd party app, the only way to get the password reset is to follow the steps the app developer provides or contact the developer for additional assistance. Apple cannot reset the password for a 3rd party app.

Glad you were able to fix some, but for any other, the developer needs to help you recover any passwords. They could also answer why you did not receive an email for the password reset. You may also want to check your junk folder in email, as the mail may have been routed there.

Thank you. I was logging into the apps website and did a password reset, but nothing was sent to email. So I have tried to sign in via apple id and the popup says sign in with your apple id (you need to sign in with your apple id in settings, and I click the settings button, and click on the password & security section - apps using apple id the app now appears
