Two years ago I bought a Macmini Intel and the Photoshop installer said the mini didn't have enough VRAM. Does the Macmini M1 have enough VRAM to run Photoshop? If so I will try to do a trade-in.

I have a M1 Mac mini. 16Gb RAM, 1TB SSD. I can open Adobe Photoshop 2022. Just opened a 532 Mb photo and edited it. No problems. 27" 4k Monitor.

FWIW, the Unified RAM in the new M1 Macs handles VRAM usage much differently than the Intel Integrated graphics. The Intel integrated graphics uses a fixed amount of system RAM. The new Unified RAM and the graphics cores utilize the RAM dynamically and is not limited to a fixed amount, i.e. as it needs more RAM it uses it.
FWIW, if you want to run Photoshop on an M1 Mini (which it is quite capable of doing), special order one with 16GB of RAM or find an authorized retailer that may stock them.
My years of experience with working with Photoshop, you need at least 16GB of RAM (the 8GB minimum Adobe claims is a joke). Also, get at least the 512GB SSD.
I believe I just said that. Not sure what you mean by out-of-the box installation. Not much you can do to the mini once you have it other than add outside peripherals. Other than a NAS attached, and the latest version of the OS, not much else has changed.

However, I am paranoid about VRAM because two years ago I bought a 2018 Macmini Intel and it did not have enough VRAM to install the latest Photoshop.
So I am looking for an explicit statement that an out-of-the-box Macmini M1 will run Photoshop.
I assume that you thought that was obvious from your answer. But I really need specific reassurance, so I don't end up getting a second computer that also won't run Photoshop.
