False positives with Find My devices.....
Why does my iPhone always tell me that I have left my stuff other places when all I did was shut it down and put it in my bag before I left?
Thanks

Hi there Jamie,
We understand you have a question about Notify When Left Behind alerts after powering down a device.
It looks like you've already reviewed Set up and use Notify When Left Behind in the Find My app.
Since the device is powered down, the location would no longer be updating to Find My, and would be why you're receiving the alert.
We hope this helps.
Jamie,
Thanks for sharing those additional details.

Take care.
It randomly happens with my AirPods too, when they are in their case.
