Hi Roberto_au, you should be able to turn on the AppleTV via your iPhone connected that is connected to a remote network. You would use the Home app. If the setup is with HDMI CEC, it’ll turn the TV on too. But I don’t believe you will see the Remote app. But if the last app you played on Apple TV is Infuse, that should come up after powering on AppleTV.
That gets everything turned on remotely and the Infuse app is in theory on screen. However, now remotely controlling the Infuse app is the part that’s problematic. I don’t know of a iOS/TVOS built in solution. Maybe a VPN where you can connect remotely to your home’s network. But I don’t know if over vpn will cause the AppleTV in the Home app to bring up the remote.
If you have a Mac you could connect a remote session, play the Infuse app on the Mac and Airplay it to the AppleTV. Maybe setup a webcam that is fixed right on the TV to get the feedback of what is playing.
I have heard of remote control remotely from a Harmony setup though I’ve never seen it personally. That theoretical solution would remotely get you control of a remote control that controls the AppleTV (that in itself was confusing) — but the feedback of what’s actually playing on the TV is still problematic.
If you call her, Can your mum give feedback what’s playing on the TV? Otherwise it’s back to the webcam fixed right at the TV.
None of these ideas are functionally ideal and certainly not elegant (and the webcam has potential privacy issues for your Mum). The Mac->do a remote session->Airplay it to the TV might be the “easiest” but you’d need a Mac.
These are the best suggestions I have. Maybe someone has an easier more elegant way.
