Mumsickle,

Since you can't see the display to restart your Apple Watch, try the steps in "Force restart your Apple Watch" found in Restart your Apple Watch.

If there is no change, we recommend reaching out to Apple Support by going to Get Support.

Good luck!

Hello Mumsickle,

Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities for help with your Apple Watch today. We're happy to help and see if can get to the bottom of what’s causing the blank screen.

Have you checked to see if the feature Screen Curtain has been enabled somehow? If your unfamiliar with this feature, see Use Screen Curtain with VoiceOver for your Mac, iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, and Apple Watch and go to the section “Use Screen Curtain on your Apple Watch” for details.

If you still need help, reach back out to us.

Have a great day!

Thank you for your help but that does not seem to be the problem. The watch is not doing anything even though fully charged. I have a notification saying I have an update and asks me to unlock my Apple Watch to download but I can’t unlock the watch I can’t do anything with it! Very frustrating and disappointed as it’s only 10 months old!
