tiff on CD won't play in car

I used to burn aiff files onto a CD, and they would play on the car CD player. Now when I burn a CD, the tracks play on the computer CD player but not in the car.

When I go to Get Info for the disk icon on the desktop, the format is "Mac OS Extended." On the old CDs that work in the car, the format is "CD Format." Something tells me I have to be burning in CD Format, whatever that is. If that's what I have to do, how do I do it?

I've been burning by selecting the aiff files on the Mac, then selecting "Burn to Disk." I am running OS 12.1.

Thank you for your help, which I hope is easy to understand.

When you burn to disc you should get an option to create an Audio CD, Data CD, or MP3 CD. You want to use Audio CD. If your car supports data CD it might be limited to MP3 & ACC files.
