I just updated to Catalina, and now my iphotos won't open. Not all my pictures were imported to the photos app. How can I get those pictures off of iPhoto?

Launch Photos with the option key held down. From the dialog, choose your iPhoto Library. Photos will create a new Photos Library from your iPhoto media.
