BGR Pixel Order

I would really appreciate having a BGR pixel order detection / option for my display. The anti-aliasing causes significant issues when the pixel order on the display doesn't match RGB. This is very likely solvable in the software.

If this is a monitor you recently purchase, I would strongly suggest returning it and getting an RGB monitor.

Some TV manufacturers use BGR because they claim it gives better viewing angles. But a tradeoff is smaller details blur out. This typically doesn't make a whole lot of difference with a TV because you view it from a distance. But look what it does to text when you're a typical 15" or so away from a computer monitor:

Basically, BRG is a poor choice as a computer screen.

There already is a legitimate solution, and the OS is already applying it based on the detected monitor. If it didn't, your colors would be miles out of whack since the blue pixels would be getting the red channel data, and the red pixels the blue channel data.

Again, your monitor is a poor choice for computing. It isn't meant to be viewed close up since small details blur and pixelate on a BGR screen.

That actually makes sense because HDMI is meant to be used for a television signal. So what I think is happening there is instead of RGB being translated to BGR, it's a straight BGR signal.

Must be a pretty decent panel. Cheap ones don't work well on HDMI with a computer, with the most common issue being they won't display a higher resolution than 1920 x1080. Not even if it's a 4K panel.

Good to hear you found a simple solution that works. I'll have to try and remember this topic if it comes up again.
