How to stop screens flicker on Ventura 13.0.1?..

I have two BenQ monitors model 20705 and 2700 connected to Mac Studio. both screens flicker frequently. Is there a way to stop the flicker until Apple fixes the issue?

I am running gMACOS Ventura V 13.0.1

I believe the screen flicker in my case is not related to cables nor interference form other electrical lines or appliances, I think it is related to macOS Ventura because:

1. I had used the same set up (mac Studio, same cables, same monitors) for several months without any screen flickering issue.

2 The Screen flicker affects two monitors (BenQ PD 2705U and PD2700u)

3 The screen flicker is not constant, it comes and goes

4 There are lost of folks who have the same issue, see link https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/JBR-4959/macOS-Ventura-Screen-flickering-after-OS-update-when-IDE-is-full-screen

Hi LeleN1

Thank you for taking the time to replay to my post.

I have been using two displays for a while before the OS upgrade and had no issues with flickering screens that comes and goes only after I updated the macOS to Ventura. That i why I suspect the MACOS more than the cables but trying a different set of cables worth a try. Thanks

Hi njarif,

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities! Check out the guidance below that can resolve a flickering display from the article If your Mac display doesn’t look right:

If the display is flickering: Make sure your Mac and display are connected to one another with good quality cables and adapters. You may also be experiencing interference from a nearby power line, a fluorescent light, a radio, a microwave oven, another computer, or another electrical device. Try relocating nearby electrical devices, or moving your Mac and display.

Depending on your Mac model, you can reset the NVRAM to help with display issues if it continues: Reset NVRAM on your Mac.

Cheers!

njarif,

Thanks for the additional information regarding your flickering monitor issue.

The next step is to try testing the monitors with another device, if available. This will help narrow the issue down to the computer or the monitors.
