“This Apple ID is not active”

i logged into my Mac book and it asked me to change Apple ID preferences because iCloud is having problems with my Apple ID so I got to log in and it says this account is not active… how can I fix it. It won’t let me sign out, I’ve tried iforgot website but it says it’s a active there aswell
