I cloud data sync

I am trying to install wemo mini smart plug but it stalls when it is time to scan because "icloud scan is in progress". How do I get rid of this?

iPhone 8, iOS 15

Does the issue persist after restarting your device? Are you running the latest version of iOS? You can confirm under Settings > General > Software Update.
