Hello jmpmn83,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're having some issues sending messages and making phone calls from your MacBook.

You recently reviewed Make and receive calls on your Mac, iPad, or iPod touch but were unable to allow calls on other devices. Right? What happens when you try enabling that setting? Make sure that the other requirements for that article are met. For example, your iPhone and MacBook should be on the same Wi-Fi network. If you have a dual-band router, make sure that they are connected to the same access point.

Take care.

jmpmn83,

Since this error mentions there being an issue with your Apple IDs not matching, have you had a chance to make sure you are signed in with the same on both devices? You can find that from Settings > [Your name] on your iPhone and from the Apple menu () > System Preferences > Apple ID on your Mac.

Also, check out the steps in the 'Make calls from apps on your Mac' section of Make and receive phone calls in FaceTime on Mac. If the same continues after that, try restarting both your Mac and iPhone, then test again.

Have a great day!
