SMS/Call Reporting

I accidentally pressed the None checkbox on the SMS/call reporting feature for Apple ID. It will not reset. How do I reenable it?

Hi FamilyZoo,

Welcome to the Apple Support Community. It sounds like you can't enable SMS/Call Reporting and we'd like to help.

You will need a third-party providers' SMS/Call reporting extension. If you see "none" checked there you might not have a reporting extension currently installed. Follow the steps in the section "Set up an app to filter and detect spam calls" in Detect and block spam phone calls. You are subject to the app provider's terms, privacy policy, and practices. We encourage you to learn about the terms from those third-parties and read the full gray text in Settings > Phone > SMS/Call Reporting.

If you have one of those extensions already installed, let us know if the same thing happens after testing with another installed app that offers the same service. This will let us know if it's all SMS/Call Reporting apps that this is happening with.

Best!
