Apple Music on OS Monterey
When I launch Apple Music lately on my laptop I get the toolbar but no window. I have to hit 'command 0' to get started. I've quit/restarted/rebooted but no fix so far.

Did you press Continue? This a Music safe mode feature that can sometimes fix issues with the library.
You can also try holding down Option which should allow you to choose or create a library. Click Choose and open the library that Music is supposed to be using, normally ~/Music/Music/Music Library(.musiclibrary).

"Try holding down option+cmd as you launch Music."
When I do that I get a message: "Music is running in safe mode. Visual plug-ins you have installed have been temporarily disabled" over Quit and Continue buttons (and the app interface window still doesn't open).
I don't understand any of that—what "visual plug-ins"? Album art? Plus it hasn't fixed the issue.
Try holding down option+cmd as you launch Music.
