can you help me locate search box which is now missing in email?

Any idea on how the search box was removed?

You can restore it back into the toolbar of mail by right clicking on the toolbar and selecting Customise Toolbar.

Then you will see a search bar in the list of items that is produced. Drag it up to the toolbar and release. Click the Done button It will drop in ready for use.
