Hi. I have iPadOS 15.3.1 and am getting the below error message when trying to use the front camera even though the ipad is not hot.
I am trying to use it after hours of it sitting unused, not in sun, not near a heat source, not charging.
The front camera does not work in the camera app or zoom.

Reading the troubleshooting steps you already performed (to no avail) and if you're sure that nothing (cover or screen protector) is interfering with your iPad front camera, I suggest that you make an appointment (*) and have your device inspected at an Apple Store or AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider) among this list:--> Apple – Location Selector. After checking it out, they'll give you all the available options.
