Modifying screen capture key commands - not listed in keyboard shortcuts

I need to disable the command-shift-6 shortcut (capture Touch Bar) so I can use that key command in another application. How do I do that?

I can supposedly use keyboard shortcuts from the system preferences-keyboard-shortcuts, but that is not listed there.

OK, I figured it out!

I was using an external keyboard which, of course, doesn't have the Touch Bar.

When I disconnected it and used the native keyboard on my MBP, that option did show up. I've disabled it now, so I should be able to use that key combination in Finale.

Thanks for helping. I really appreciate it!

Thanks, I obviously didn't make my question clear. I know how to use the basic keyboard shortcuts for taking a screenshot.

What I need to do is disable the key command "command-shift-6", which is currently assigned to "capture Touch Bar". I need to be able to use that combination in another application (music notation app Finale, for the record).

So, in order for me to *enable* "command-shift-6" for use in Finale, I have to *disable* it for use in screenshots.

When I open system preferences-keyboard-shortcuts, that particularly key combination is not listed as editable.

Does this help better explain my situation?
