How do I fix this - I just did the latest available update for my iphone and now it won't connect to wifi and appears to not be updating when on cellular either. How do I fix?

Try a forced restart.
• Press and quickly release the volume up button
• Press and quickly release the volume down button
• Press and hold the side button.
• When the Apple logo appears, release the button.

I am able to make phone calls and text, but none of my apps will open. Also, when I go to General > Software Updates it gives an error and is "unable to check for update". Basically nothing is working outside of text and calling. How do I fix this!!!!
Just did the update and my phone will no longer connect to my wifi.
