I sold my old Apple Watch and it won’t let them set it up. It says I need to remove the watch from my account which it’s not even showing

I sold my Apple Watch series 3 and it will not allow the new owner to connect. It is telling her I need to remove it from my account. When I look up all of my devices it is not showing

Yes I I followed The steps that he told me to on the screen. But when I get to it it is not listing it as a device to unpair or delete
