How can I fix Outlook emails showing no content?

Is it trying to download messages from a Microsoft account, or some other account?
If it is a Microsoft account, http://outlook.live.com should be able to view in a web browser your current email using the Microsoft account credentials. If that is the case, then your stand alone Outlook profile file may be corrupted and has to be rebuilt.
