Logitech professional presenter R800

I have a new 2021 MacBook Pro 14”. Its running the newest version of MacOS as of February 2022. Having said that, as a teacher I need the ability to use the R800 Logitech presenter remote in my classroom. I keep seeing it advertised as. Windows based presenter, and before I buy on Amazon I’d like to see if anyone has experience using it with a newer Mac (think: thunderbolt ports and no USB ports). I have a dongle to connect a USB device (Apple dongle), but want to see if anyone has used this R800 on a newer MacBook Pro. Thank you all.
