Hello,
For some reason I can not connect my Apple TV 3 to IPhone using modem function. The message is the password is incorrect although a did not type in the password. I rebooted device. It did not help. I was trying to use another iPhone and result is the same. It does not let me type any password. Mistake with wrong password pops up in any case.
What should I do to fix it.

iPhone 12 or later has a Maximize Compatibility option for hotspot use. Try that, if applicable.
Apple TV list the Other option below the detected network in the neighborhood. Then you’ll have the chance to fill in both the network name and password.

I have iPhone 12 Pro & iPhone XR. Neither of them are functioning as a WI-FI sport with my Apple TV.
My wife has XR also. Connecting to her iPhone ending up with the same password mistake although it was never typed in.
