Calendar

I use my iPhone calendar for reminding me of everything….

Often when putting in a new event it would be amazing if I could put an image in the notes area

For example snap a pic of the wedding or christening invitation and save it with the event reminder

This would save me typing in the details or trying to find the picture in my photo stream the day before!

Help me Apple !

Unfortunately, it is not possible to add photos to calendar events.

But it's a good idea that I thought you should bring to Apple's attention.

In the meantime, you can look in the App Store, there is definitely a calendar app that can do what you request. I searched around a bit myself, and found Picture Calendar - there are probably more.

Most Apple built-in apps are very basic; you can find more powerful apps for just about any function in the App Store. I suspect Apple does this to avoid competing with 3rd party vendors. If Apple apps did everything why would anyone go to the trouble of creating apps that duplicated built in functionality? The Calendar app is so basic that I never use it; I use a much more powerful 3rd party app. Likewise for the Weather app; I have 2 other Weather apps.
