MacBook Pro 16" - SD Card Compatibility

Hi everyone,

I'm having issues with the internal SD card reader on my MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2021, macOS 12.1). When I read from or write to my card (Emtec microSDXC 64GB Class10 Speed 64GB) using an external 3rd party USB card reader, everything works fine. However, when I use the same card with my MacBooks internal card reader, it takes the OS minutes to mount the card, and then it can't read from it. Writing seems to work, albeit very slowly.

I already tried:

• using different microSD to SD adapters
• formatting the card (low level also)
• formatting it with different file systems (ExFAT, HFS+, FAT), to no avail.

Is there anything els I could try, or is this MacBooks internal slot somehow limited?
