So, does that mean I cannot use Microsoft 365 on my new MacBook Air?

I have a new MacBook Air and have installed my Microsoft 365. However, all the icons have a circle with a line through them. It says I cannot open them. Confused? What do I need to do?

Contact a third-party vendor - Apple Support:

An icon with a "prohibitory symbol" means it cannot be opened, but there are a variety of possible reasons. Microsoft probably wants you to pay for something.

The newest versions Microsoft are either/or some versions that are

subscription-based or 'one standalone-single purchase' download.

Options will cost, nothing older than maybe last year,

and a new subscription? Maybe a discount ~ or not.

• Buy Microsoft 365 Family & Personal Subscriptions, and Office 2021 - Microsoft Store

The Mac versions options should be listed next to the PC ones.

You may try LibreOffice, free-ware; shows significant promise.

[They also offer an M1 Apple silicon version DL - link.]

• macOS | LibreOffice - Free Office Suite - Based on OpenOffice (microsoft compatible)
