Apple TV

I just got a second hand Apple TV and I can’t get past the date and time setting screen. I have pressed the menu button and connected to my wifi. What do I do now?

What is the model Apple TV? Identify your Apple TV model - Apple Support

Second hand devices should be reset to factory settings, to get you started with a clean slate, and set it up will your own settings and account. Reset or restore your Apple TV to its factory settings - Apple Support

Apple TV should get its time and date information automatically from NTP servers online. Users only would select the timezone. If you get the date and time screen, then it wasn’t able to connect to those NTP servers. Restart both the Apple TV box and your router, then try again. Verify that port 123 UDP isn’t blocked by your router/home network.
